Pure Light Ltd is a software engineering company registered in England and Wales. We build web applications and integrations, maintain websites, and offer managed author websites and reader communications. We also develop our own software products.
An engagement can cover an author website, book and series pages, sample chapters, release updates, reader-list infrastructure and ongoing maintenance. The author approves their public content and retains their rights. We do not act as a literary agent or promise book sales.
Yes. Public-facing pages can use an author brand or pen name. Contracting, billing and any required identity checks are handled privately. Required company and data-protection disclosures still apply. We cannot guarantee anonymity or remove public records.
For a Pure Light-operated reader service, Pure Light Ltd is the controller: we manage subscription rules, sending, providers, retention and reader rights. Authors supply approved content. If a client instead controls their own list and we provide technical support, the contract records that different arrangement. The service privacy notice identifies the controller.
Yes. We offer technical SEO foundations, metadata, structured data, clear landing-page copy, content planning and approved launch assets. We agree the audience, deliverables and next steps in writing. Advertising spend is separate and needs approval; search rankings and sales are not guaranteed.
We quote after a short scope review. A proposal sets out the one-off build or migration work, recurring maintenance, third-party charges, responsibilities and exit arrangements. No subscription starts simply because you enquire. Response times and service levels are agreed in writing.
Yes, subject to a technical review and access to the relevant accounts and content. We establish ownership, deployment, backups and known issues before agreeing the migration. Existing mailing lists need a separate consent and data-handling review; they are not imported automatically.

No. Automated checks and policy controls support human decisions within their tested scope. They do not constitute legal advice, regulatory approval, a security certification or a guarantee against incidents. Specialist advice and deployment-specific testing may be required.
